Merry Christmas!!!!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas. Although the roads have not been the best we still have managed to get together with our family the last two days.

Christmas Eve we had Tony's Dad over for dinner and opened the majority of our presents. Although Parker didn't really get the point of opening the presents he did enjoy ripping the wrapping off one small piece at a time. I am glad I didn't get him too many presents this year or we would have been up till midnight at the rate he was going.

Christmas morning we got up and gave Parker his gift from Santa and his stocking. This year we decided to get him his first trike. We know he won't be able to use by himself for awhile, but he enjoys us pushing him around in the house so far. I am looking forward to the spring when we can use it outside.

Then we went to Chelsea and Bryan's for Christmas Morning Breakfast and more opening presents. Parker was over the unwrapping by this point, and was more interested in playing with all of Avery's new toys. All and all it was a wonderful holiday.

Hope everyone else had just as much fun, and enjoyed being with all their friends and family!!!!

Playin' in the Snow

As many of you are aware we have had record breaking snow during the last few weeks. After searching for a sled at every store we could get to I finally gave up. Was a little concerned about how well the Stroller would get around, but after getting a little cabin fever I convinced Tony to try it out and just go for a walk down to the park. It was quite a trek. As could be expected the stroller didn't get around great in the deep snow, but we finally made it to the park. Tried letting Parker walk around, but the snow was so deep Parker couldn't even take a single step.

However we did find something to do. I really wanted to go sledding, but no sled so we improvised and used the slides that were at the park. The snow was up so high on the tiny one that there wasn't even a drop. Parker tried this one out a couple of times and seemed to enjoy it. Then I wanted in on the fun and decided to try out the bigger one. Didn't have high expectations, but was surprised that it was such a blast. In the end, I actually think it was better than a sled. No equipment to carry, and very exciting. However if there wasn't so much padding it would probably not be such a great idea since I really got some air. I was landing a good 3-4 feet from the base of the slide. At least we got to have some fun in this amazing start to our winter.

Winter Wonderland

So Parker and I decided to leave Daddy at home and join Nana, Aunt Chelsea, and Cousin Avery for a trip up to Lake Chelan. We just got here last night. After a long drive we decided to stop for dinner and music at Levenworth, WA. It was beautiful and really puts you in the Christmas mood. We then continued our trek to Lake Chelan dealing with more snow on the roads as we went. We finally got here after a 10 hour trip, but we were here and were very thankful that the kids did as well as they did on the long car ride.

This morning we woke up in a winter wonderland, and decided to bundle the kids up and see how they liked the snow. It was both of thier first real experiences with playing in the snow. Parker kept falling down and was having trouble getting back up and kind of rolled around like the little brother in A Christmas Story until I would go and pull him back up. (If you don't get the reference, you need to head to a video store immediately and check it out.) : )

If you want to check out the other pics from last night or playing in the snow let me know and I will send you a link. I set it up as a private album and can't figure out how to undo it so I have to send an invite for you to view them. Any other pics that I take during the week will be posted to this same album so keep checking back through the week. I am going to try to update daily so Tony can keep up with what we are doing since he had to stay home and work.

Christmas Trees and Newest Stats

We went and got our tree this weekend with Chelsea and Bryan. Click on the link to check out the pictures. It was a little cold, but stayed dry while we were there. We went to a small farm that had a bunch of sheep. We all had fun feeding them little pieces of Carrots and Apples that they provided there. Here is a link to the pictures we took that day if you would like to check them out.
Christmas Tree Picking

Even though Parker has been a year for a few weeks we had Parker's Dr. Appt. last Friday. Doctor said he looks very healthy. He measured 32 inches long and 23 lbs. 3 oz. This means he is 95th percentile for height (no surprise there) and about 50th percentile for weight. He also has a very big head, but can't remember the exact percentile there. Doctor also says that his first 4 molars are right on the urge of erupting. I am expecting/hoping to see the bottom two any day now. He has been a little fussy and has had a pretty bad runny nose for the last few days which I think is a result of the teeth coming in, so for both our sakes I hope they get here soon.

Everything else is going really well. Parker is sleeping through the night on a regular basis. (knock on wood) He is really starting to get around, and is starting to really get fast. One of his favorite things to do is chase us or have us chase him around the house. Although I am glad that he is progressing I do understand what people are talking about when they say don't rush it. He definitely keeps me on my toes at all times.

Hope everyone is looking forward to the holidays, and we will try to keep things up to date if it doesn't get too crazy.
