I know it has been awhile since the last post, but with school starting back up I have been very busy. However I have been meaning to update everyone on how Parker is doing. As you can see in this picture Parker is standing without holding onto anything. He usually pulls up on something like my legs and then will let go, especially if we have something that he wants. This isn't the best picture, but it is hard to get him to stay still now. He follows me all over the house. Sometimes it is nice to know that he wants to be with me, but when you are trying to get things done it is frustrating to have him always underfoot.
The other big thing is that he took his first two steps last week without assistance. I knew it was coming soon. He kept lifting one of his feet when he was standing trying to figure out how to get to me, but then would give up and sit down to crawl over. This time I put him down in the standing position, and as I walked away he took two steps towards me. Tony and I were both very excited, but after that he was done. He just wanted to crawl. I keep on waiting for him to take off, but he isn't there quite yet. He does seem to enjoy cruizing around the furniture and using his walker to get around the house a bit, but crawling is definately the prefered method of transportation.
Looking forward to Parker's first Halloween. The whole family is dressing up so check back later to see what we went as.
We went to Lakeview Farm yesterday to get Parker's First Pumpkin. It was a perfect Pumpkin Picking day. We enjoyed going on the boat, train, and playing in the Hay Maze with the Stewarts on this gorgeous Oregon Fall day.
