Alright, we did the trial run on Thursday and this Saturday we did the big family and friend gathering to celebrate Parker's 1st birthday. He had a great time and we were very happy to see everyone.

Parker is 1 today
Happy birthday to ME! Well, it's official, I'm 1 today.
It's been an exciting year for Mommy, Daddy and me. Lot's of fun.

He's Walking!!!

So exciting news in the Abbott household. We have officially declared that Parker is walking. Not the most stable yet, and he still crawls quite frequently, but he is starting to walk unassisted more and more this week. This all started last Sunday. Up to that point he took 2-3 steps here or there, but more or less he would sit down immediately and crawl to where he wanted to go. All of sudden on Sunday he would walk from the coffee table to the couch (4-5 steps), and then from the couch to his activity table (7-8 steps), etc... Since then instead of sitting down to crawl he will try to walk, and then if he falls he will crawl the rest of the way. Or even sometimes he will crawl to a piece of furniture (still needs help to stand up), stand up, and try walking again. I would say that he actually spends more time walking assisted and unassisted then crawling now.
Right now this has actually slowed him down, but I am sure that in a few weeks he will be faster then ever. Trying to get some video so you can see our wobbly boy, but it is definitely a 2 man job so we have to get a time when our schedule fits together so keep a look out.

Trick or Treat
Well gang, we had a great day and night for Halloween. Parker and mama made the rounds to see family and friends during the day and then we went trick or treating at Great Grandma's Apartment complex. Parker as you can see here was dressed up as a scarecrow, and Hillary went as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz. Tony decided that he didn't really want to dress up as the Tin Man although we think he would have been a great Tin Man. Also we just ran out of time to make him his costume.
